This piece was my final project for Intro to Video Art @SMFA Tufts. It is intended to be projected on two adjacent vertical channels. This piece, along with the portfolio of work I created in this course, is an exploration of my vision for video art-making. 这件作品是我的最后在塔夫茨美院影像入门课程中最后一个项目。这是一份多屏幕影像作品，所以应该展示在两个分离但相近的屏幕上。这件作品，以及我在这门课程中创作的所有作品，都代表了我对影像艺术创作愿景的探索。

This is the trailer of a video art piece I made for my college application back in 2024. This piece is a collage of my memories of my hometown, Shanghai, as I felt myself being a tourist sliding through this Dreamland of bittersweet memories. The name of this piece alludes to the lyrics of "Dreamland" by Glass Animals. 这是我在2024年为申请大学而制作的视频艺术作品的预告片。这件作品是我对家乡上海的记忆的拼贴，我感觉自己是一个游客，在这个苦乐参半的记忆梦境中飘荡。这件作品的名称及灵感取自白先勇的短篇小说《游园惊梦》与《牡丹亭》唱词。

Intended to display on two seperate horizontal channels, this piece plays with the idea of anisochrony, or the slow down of time. This piece asks the viewers to consider, in fleeting moment, what does the time trully feels like? 诞生于双屏幕展览的构思，这件作品展现了“主观时间”和“客观时间”的差异性。这件作品希望观众思考，在转瞬即逝的瞬间，人们所定义的时间究竟是什么？

As my first piece made in Intro to Video Art, this piece was a practice of utilizing Pr and professional cameras. This was also the place where I discovered my interest in filming the unnoticed and weaving them to form a new perspective on describing the world. 作为我在影像艺术课程中创作的第一件作品，这件作品更多是如何操作专业摄影设备与剪辑软件的一次实验。但也正是在这里，我发现了自己对拍摄那些不被注意的事物的创作角度，并将它们编织起来，形成了一份我自己新视角，并用它开始我捕捉世界的创作生涯。

As an artist, I struggled to embrace the identity of "an artist" because I did not understand the purpose of art. However, as I realized, art has no assigned purpose; an artist looks for the purpose, and their purpose is to find such purposes. 作为一名艺术家，我一直很难理解“艺术家”的身份，因为我并没有掌握艺术的目的。然而，我意识到，艺术本身并没有既定目的；艺术的目的就是寻找目的，而艺术家的目的就是寻找自身的目的。

This is a piece inspired by the video artist Cao Fei's work "Cosplayers." Like Cao Fei, I hope to use this piece to capture worlds that people cherish. 这件作品的灵感来自影像艺术家曹斐的作品 “Cosplayers”（直译《角色扮演者们》）。和曹斐一样，我希望用这件作品来捕捉被一部分s人们所珍藏的世界。
